This site is run by Dār as-Sayf wal-Qalam. To reach us about anything on this page, write through the Contact page.
What we collect
Only what you type into our forms:
- The game waitlist: your email, the name you choose, and your idea if you send one.
- The book notice: your email.
- The contact form: your name, your email and your message.
Nothing else. We use no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. We do not buy or sell anyone's details, and we do not pass them to anyone except as described below.
An earlier version of this site also kept a copy of what you typed in your own browser. It no longer does, and visiting the site now deletes any copy the old version left behind.
Where it goes
What you send reaches our inbox through a form service, and the site is served by a hosting company. Both see your message on its way, as any post office does.
The games
al-Thughūr and The Walls of Sud save your progress only in your own browser. It never leaves your device and we never see it. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes it.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until we have told you the game or the book is out, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Contact messages are kept only as long as we need them to answer you.
Having your details deleted
Write through the Contact page and ask. We will delete what we hold and answer you within 30 days. You can also ask to see or correct it.
Every message we send to a waitlist ends with a line telling you how to come off it.
